Is there anything more satisfying than completing a workout?
I find anything to do with running and repetitive movements boring and not having the energy to complete a single set. But I always found yoga and dance workouts to be relaxing yet intense to get the necessary stretches I need.
After a long day there is nothing better than changing into your workout clothes, grabbing the yoga mat and finding a YouTube video to follow. It doesn’t need to be intense but any movement or stretch is vital for your body to function. In this day and age majority of us are sitting down staring at a screen for 8 or more hours everyday and overtime it does cause stress to our body.
I thought I would share my favourite stretches to release tension and feel rejuvenated.
When I find myself behind a screen for too long I prefer to do the below:

I find these helpful and it definitely helps release the tension around my neck, shoulders, hips and back. This isn't very intense and I generally do each pose for as long as I see fit. The fact you can easily do these stretches in the comfort of your own home with no equipment is handy.
Apart from the above yoga stretches I also do more intense workouts to get my adrenaline flowing and boost my serotonin levels. I recently found the fitness channel MadFit on Youtube, where she incorporates a workout routine for the music selected amongst other routines. It is similar to Zumba and you find yourself sweating and not realising the time fly by. A 15 min workout feels like 5 mins which is positive in my eyes. There isn't any need for equipment, a simple yoga mat would suffice to complete all the moves.
